What Disney Villains Come In This Expansion?

Villainous: Wicked To The Core comes with 3 villains. Hades from Hercules, Dr. Facilier from The Princess And The Frog, and Evil Queen from Snow White. Hades is personally my favorite of all the villains in this expansion. Dr. Facilier was probably my least favorite, due to being tricky when it comes to his win objective. Keep reading and I’ll go into that more.

Should You Buy The “Villainous: Wicked To The Core” Expansion?

This is a no-brainer for me, this Villainous expansion has it all. It’s full of evil spirits, Dwarfs, and powerful Titans! Each one of the villains in this expansion was made in just the right way; staying true to their characters in the Disney movies. If you are a fan of Villainous then this is great to add to the collection.

What Do You Think About Each Villain?

Hades: A great starter villain for new players. He has a simple objective to complete, while also exposing you to new ally traits. The Titans have special rules and different cards that will affect them differently than most other allies in the game. Overall, one of my favorite villains that I recommend to everyone.

Evil Queen: Evil Queen is a step into the more complex villains that this game has in store. I like how they stuck to her character, adding potions and different ingredients is right up Evil Queen’s alley. I especially love fighting off all the different dwarfs that we all know and love. Overall, fun to learn and play, and a very strong villain to play.

Dr. Facilier: Dr. Facilier is my least favorite of the three, but still a fun challenge. They added a unique play mechanic to Dr. Facilier by adding a draw pile called “Fortune Pile.” This Fortune Pile is very important for winning the game. The Fortune Pile starts with no cards in it, as the game progresses, you and your opponent will be placing cards in the Fortune Pile, making it more difficult to draw your “Rule New Orleans” card to win the game. Dr. Facilier is probably the hardest out of this expansion, and while it’s my least favorite it was still fun to learn and play Dr. Facilier.

What Are Some Tips For Playing Each Villain?

HadesLythos will be your go-to Titan for taking out heroes in your realm. Lythos and your Mortality Potion are a great combo if you can get things set up correctly. Pyros is going to be a big help with untrapping your cards. Ideally, you have already played a few Titans, and you can have Pyros bring up the rear to help untrap your Titans. Your opponents will want to block your path to Mount Olympus with heroes. So use your Titans to help trap, move, or vanquish them.

Evil Queen: Unlocking the Dwarfs’ Cottage is the first big priority, which means you’ll want to find all the ingredients you need and fast. Use Magic Tomes and Black Magic as often as you can. Try to find ingredients or the Magic Mirror; discard everything else. As soon as you get an ingredient play it, the sooner the better, and you don’t want to waste any time.

Dr. Facilier: The Fortune Pile is going to be a big target for all your opponents. So you want to do your best to take away any obstacles that could end up in your way. I recommend discarding “The Masked Spirits” and “Shadow Spirits” at every opportunity.  Do your best to avoid playing them, and use your “Shadow Man” to help defeat heroes in your realm.

When you get “Rule New Orleans,” play it immediately. The “Slight Of Hand” card is your best card to comb threw the deck for all of your important cards. This is the grab order I recommend when playing “Slight Of Hand.” Rule New Orleans, Talisman, The Cards Will Tell, and then another Slight Of Hand if you have no other options.

Which Villain Is My Favorite In The Villainous: Wicked To The Core Expansion?

Hades is my favorite villain in the Villainous: Wicked To The Core expansion. When I was young I grew up watching Hercules, even as a kid I thought Hades was such an evil and funny Disney villain. Pain and Panic, Hades’ sad and pathetic evil henchmen were so fun to watch and made the movie hilarious. Then they made an awesome, beautifully illustrated board game all about villains! As soon as I saw Hades as a playable villain, I bought the expansion and never looked back.

Can You Mix All Villainous Expansions?

The only expansions that can mix in the Villainous expansions are in their respective universes. For example, Disney Villainous expansions can mix with Disney expansions but don’t mix with the Marvel Villainous expansions.

What Is The Original Disney Villainous?

Villainous: The Worst Takes It All is the base and original board game for Villainous. They did a special “100 Years Of Disney” release of Villainous called “Introduction To Evil,” which only contains 4 of the original villains from the base game. The four villains are Maleficent, Captain Hook, Ursula, and Prince John.

What Is The Second Disney Villainous Expansion?

Evil Comes Prepare is the next expansion in the Disney Villainous Series. Evil Comes Prepared comes with Scar, Ratigan, and Yzma. A very good expansion, and something you should check out.

What Did You Think About The Game?

I enjoy seeing what villains they come out with for each expansion and what the little pieces for each villain will look like. I think Hades was pretty easy, while Dr. Facilier was a medium-to-hard one to beat. The queen I honestly can not remember much about her because I have only played her once. I also love how you can play the original villains with the expansion villains. It adds another level of fun and it’s nice to see how each one plays against each other.
